HUBUNGAN TINGKAT PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP PERAWAT DENGAN KESIAPSIAGAAN MENGHADAPI BENCANA WABAH PENYAKIT MALARIA DI KABUPATEN ACEH BESAR

Abstract


Abstrak. Malaria merupakan salah satu dari penyakit menular yang masih merupakan masalah kesehatan di negara yang sedang berkembang termasuk Indonesia keadaan penyakit malaria di dunia tidak bertambah baik masih lebih dari 200 juta manusia di dunia yang terancam malaria sekarang ini. Di Provinsi Aceh jumlah orang yang terkena penyakit malaria masih tergolong tinggi, meskipun dari tahun ketahun jumlahnya cenderung menurun. Tahun 2011 serangan malaria tercatat sebanyak 2.757 orang, tahun 2012 sebanyak 2.363 orang, sampai Desember 2013 menurun menjadi 1.533 orang Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan tingkat pengetahuan dan sikap perawat dengan kesiapsiagaan menghadapi bencana wabah penyakit malaria di Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Penelitian ini menggunakan analitik kuantitatif dengan menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi seluruh perawat yang bertugas di Kabupaten Aceh Besar berjumlah 249 orang. Pemilihan perawat sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini karena perawat adalah tenaga kesehatan yang mempunyai peran besar dalam mengantisipasi wabah penyakit malaria. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 48,2% perawat berumur 30-40 tahun, dan berjenis kelamin perempuan (53,4%), 46,2% berpendidikan Diploma III keperawatan. penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan pengetahuan dengan kesiapsiagaan perawat menghadapi wabah malaria dan terdapat hubungan sikap dengan kesiapsiagaan perawat menghadapi wabah malaria di Kabupaten Aceh Besar.

Abstract. Level of knowledge, attitude, nurse’s preparedness, malaria epidemic Malaria remains a public health problem in Indonesia, each year there are about 15 millions of clinical malaria patients resulting 30,000 people died. The data from the Survey of Malaria Metric indicated that Aceh Besar regency included to the category of endemic malaria with the number of clinical cases were 1,449 cases, 724 positive cases with the classification of plasmodium falcifarum was 441 cases, plasmodium vivax was 276 cases. It is a quantitative analytical research using cross sectional approach. Samples were all nurses who worked in Aceh Besar regency with the total 249 people. The data were collected using a close questionnaire and processed using chi square test. The results showed that 48.2% of nurses were 30-40 years old, and female (53.4%), 46.2% have Diploma III of Nursery, then 56.6% of nurses had sufficient knowledge about malaria, 60.6% of nurses gave good attitude toward the prevention of malaria and 54.2% were ready to face malaria plague, from 151 nurses with the good attitude were 68.9% ready to face malaria plague, from 98 nurses who had less attitude there were 68.4% who stated less prepared to face malaria plague, from 101 knowledgeable nurses there were 78.2% ready to face malaria plague, from 141 nurses who have sufficient knowledge there were 65.2% who stated less prepared, and all less knowledgeable nurses were ready to face malaria plague in Aceh Besar regency. There is a relationship between knowledge and attitude with the preparedness of nurses to face malaria plague in Aceh Besar regency.
