DETEKSI DINI GANGGUAN PENDENGARAN PADA ANAK

Azwar Azwar

Abstract

Abstract. Hearing loss in children need to be detected as early as possible given the importance of the role of auditory function in the process of speech development. Delay in diagnosis also means there is a delay to start the intervention and will carry serious consequences for subsequent development. Hearing screening in newborns can find hearing loss as early as possible so that it can be done habilitation immediately, using electrophysiological examination is objective, practical, automatic and non-invasive. Early identification of hearing loss can be done by observing the child's reaction to sound or hearing function tests with simple methods and equipment. Hearing tests in children can not be delayed merely by reason of the child's age has not been possible to do a hearing test. Objective hearing test in the field of audiology with electrophysiologic equipment has been developed in several hospitals such as ABR, ASSR, OAE Electroacoustics imitans and very valuable in early diagnostic auditory function is independent of age.
