Abstrak. Aktivitas sel osteoblast merupakan proses fisiologi dalam penyembuhan fraktur. Stimulasi mekanik akan memicu aktivitas osteoblast tersebut. Belum diketahui efek kontraksi isometrik otot plantar fleksor terhadap aktivitas osteoblast. Marker aktivitas osteoblast adalah kadar Bone specific alkhaline phosphatase (BSAP). Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui  efek kontraksi isometrik otot plantar fleksor terhadap peningkatan aktivitas osteoblast pada pasien fraktur tibia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode true experimental dengan pre-post test control group design. Analisa pengujian  hipotesa dengan menggunakan uji beda dua mean independen dengan tingkat kepercayaan nilai α  0,05. Peningkatan mean BSAP kelompok I; 14,44 dan kelompok II;3,65. Uji T2 sampel bebas ( α 0.05 dan Confidence Interval 95 %) diperoleh nilai  Sig.2 tail 0.000 yang artinya  ada perbedaan yang significan peningkatan kadar BSAP kelompok I (melakukan latihan isometrik) dengan kelompok II(tidak melakukan latihan isometrik) pada pasien pasca Open Reduction Internal Fixation fraktur tibia. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Latihan isometrik otot plantar fleksor pada pasien pasca Open Reduction Internal Fixation fraktur tibia meningkatkan aktivitas osteoblast yang akan mempercepat proses penyembuhan.  

Abstract. Osteoblast cell activity is a physiological process in fracture healing. Mechanical stimulation will trigger the activity of osteoblasts. Unknown effects of plantar flexor muscle isometric contraction of the activity of osteoblasts. Marker osteoblast activity is bone specific levels alkhaline phosphatase (BSAP). Purpose of this study was to determine the effects of plantar flexor muscle isometric contraction against an increase in osteoblast activity in patients with fractures of the tibia. This study uses a true experimental method with pre-posttest control group design. Analysis of hypothesis testing using different test two independent mean the confidence level α value of 0.05. Mean increase in BSAP group I; 14.44 and group II; 3.65. T2 test of independent samples (α of 0.05 and confidence interval 95%) was obtained tail Sig.2 value of 0.000, which means there is a significant difference in increased levels of BSAP group I (do isometric exercises) with group II (not doing isometric exercises) in patients with post Open Reduction Internal Fixation of fracture of the tibia. The conclusion of this study is Isometric Exercise plantar flexor muscles in patients with post Open Reduction Internal Fixation of fracture of the tibia increases the activity of osteoblasts which will accelerate the healing process.
