Author Guidelines

Articles submitted are articles that have not been published, to avoid duplication, CDJ do not accept articles that are also sent to other journals at the same time for publication. The author ensures that all supporting authors have read and agreed to the contents of the article.

  • Title in Indonesian

Abstract is made in Indonesian & English, in an unstructured form with a maximum number of 200 words, must reflect the contents of the article, concise and clear, so that it allows the reader to understand about new or important aspects without having to read the entire contents of the article. Typed with a single space and one column.

  • Keywords are listed on the same page as the abstract. Choose 3-5 words that can help the preparation of the index.
  • The main article is written in Times New Roman font size of 11 pt, one space and made in the form of two columns (page layout)
  • Articles including tables,vreferencevand figures must be typed 1 space on paper with a size of 21.5 x 28 cm (A4 paper) with a distance from the edge of 2.5 cm, the maximum number of pages are 12. Reports on research in humans must obtain written approval (signed informed consent).
  • Systematics of writing research articles, is as follows:
    • Title
    • Author's name, address and e-mail address
    • Abstract in Indonesian and English
    • Keywords
    • Introduction (without subheading of the content, includes background of the problem and a little literature review, and problem/research objectives).
    • Material and Method
    • Results
    • Discussion
    • Conclusions and suggestions
    • Acknowledgement
    • Reference.

Literature review/Conceptual articles (equivalent to the results of research) are review articles from journals and or books on the latest dentistry, medicine and health sciences included:

  • Title
  • Author's name
  • Abstract in Indonesian and English
  • Introduction (without subheading)
  • Subheading of the content as needed
  • Conclusions and suggestions
  • Reference.

Case Report. Contains articles about cases in clinics that are quite interesting, and good for dissemination among other colleagues. The format consists of: Introduction, Case report, Discussion and reference.

Figures and tables. Send the pictures needed with the paper. The table must be typed 1 space.

Statistical method. Explain statistical methods in detail in the "methods" section. An unusual method, written in detail with the reference to the method.

The title is written with 11 pt capital letters, both short titles with a maximum number of 40 characters including letters and spaces. Placed in the top center of the first page. Subheading with 11 pt letters.

Author's name and address. The author's name without title and address or institution of employment is written in full and clearly. Correspondence address, telephone number, e-mail address and photo.

Acknowledgments. Acknowledgments are only for professionals who assisted with the preparation of the manuscript, including the providers of technical support, funding and general support from an institution.

References. References are written according to Vancouver writing rules, are numbered according to the appearance in the whole text written in a super script. Minimum number of references.

Reference. If the authors are more than 6 people, then mentioned the name of the authors then only et al. If there are less than 6 people, all the authors' names are mentioned.

Certainty of publication or rejection of articles will be notified by email.

Authors whose articles are published will get proof of publication of 1 (one) copy. Articles that are not published will not be returned except at the author's request.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The article has never been published before, or is not being included in other journals.
  2. Articles in Microsoft Word format (.doc or .docx)
  3. Article writing should be adjusted to journal writing instructions and download the available templates.

Authors whose writings are published in Cakradonya Dental Journal (CDJ) agree with the following:

The author holds the copyrights of the writings and gives CDJ the first publication rights to publish the author's writings in Cakradonya Dental Journal in both printed and online editions.
