Development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Based on Creative Economy

Abstract


Creative economy had been developed from the basic model based on the creativity that potentially develop the economic growth of one regency, especially micro small and medium enterprise (UMKM). This model is collaborative idea and value which is a concept to implementing economic growth sustainability based on creativity that developed by Howkins through the arts and innovation. The usage unlimited sources, which are including idea, talent and creativity that can supporting the local potential development to have its economic values. In this (digital) creative era, an economic value of one product is no longer determined by raw materials or production systems such as in the industrial era rather than the usage of creativity and innovation creation along with the advancing technology. This study is focus on how concept of creative economy is used in bread and local cake production. The method used is a case study using SWOT analysis on the matrix approach. The results will provide a clear picture of creative economy and business development in local UMKM which is produce bread and cake
