The Influence of Leadership, Competence, and Work Environment on Work Satisfaction and Its Impact on Employee Performance

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of leadership, competence, and work environment on job satisfaction, and its impact on staff performance at PT. Bank Mandiri, Tbk. The location of this study is conducted in the area of Banda Aceh. The population of this study is all permanent employees at the Bank. Data collection techniques used are census whereas the study responses are 202 respondents. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is utilized to analyze its data. The results show that leadership, competence, and work environment have a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, and it’s subsequently on staff performance. Furthermore, leadership, competence, and work environment have a positive and significant indirect effect on staff performance through job satisfaction.
